When Pat and Erin Hogan opened the doors of their pharmacy in 1986, they were drawing on a long line of experience. They first met in Cunniffe’s Pharmacy in Shop Street, Galway where Erin was manager and Pat was the Pharmacist, Pat is from a family of pharmacists in Tramore, Co. Waterford. Thirty years later, the pharmacy is still very much a family run business. Pat and Erin are still in the pharmacy most days. Their daughter Laura has taken over the day to day running of the busy pharmacy and her sister Michele is involved behind the scenes. Since the day the shop opened, Pat and Erin and the staff have believed that talking to your customers and getting to know them is key to a successful community pharmacy. Some of the staff have been with Pat Hogan Pharmacy for decades and at times the shop can feel like the village square!
