The McElwee family have been operating pharmacies in Laois since 1975 when James A and Mary started their first store in O'Connell Square in Mountmellick. Their son, Peter joined the family business in 2001 and is now Managing Director of McElwee totalhealth Pharmacies three stores at O’Connell Square Mountmellick, Davitt Shopping Centre Mountmellick and at the Cedar Clinic Portlaoise. Peter moved the business forward in 2019 by joining the totalhealth Pharmacy Group. The focus for Peter and his team is the patient’s health and wellbeing. McElwee totalhealth Pharmacies offer premium healthcare products and services as well as advice for living well.
